Co-Founder

Josh brings his adventurous spirit to Coolbnbs. As a travel enthusiast who's explored 49 of the 50 states and 26 countries, Josh has spent hundreds of days in hotels, giving him a unique perspective on what travelers truly value in a stay.


He's not just an explorer; he's an adrenaline junkie at heart—racing cars, flying  fighter planes, skydiving, and snowboarding. This passion for adventure fuels his commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for Coolbnbs guests, ensuring every property is more than just a place to stay—it's a memorable journey in itself.

Rory Cummins

 Co-Founder


Rory brings years of short-term rental experience, starting in 2013 by renting out his basement as an Airbnb and expanding into a full-scale business owning & managing dozens of properties. With a background as a general contractor, he has built over 250 new homes and flipped/remodeled 70+ properties, combining his expertise in construction with property management for optimal guest experiences.


Rory also leads the Clients 1st Property Group under EXP Realty, where he’s worked in real estate brokerage since 2011. Outside of real estate, Rory is a dedicated father and passionate traveler, having explored 33 countries across five continents, his diverse experiences fuel his passion for creating exceptional guest experiences and supporting property owners through effective, hands-on management

A musician at heart and a comic convention enthusiast, Ashley brings creativity, insider knowledge, and a laid-back Southern vibe to each stay. Shelby brings her vibrant energy and passion for life to Coolbnbs! Originally from Connecticut, she made the move to North Carolina where she found her niche in Property Management and Airbnb photography. Through exploring many short-term rentals, Shelby has knowledge on what matters most to guests and what those special touches are that make you want to return.


With a love for basketball, music and a mind that can recall any lyric to any song, Shelby's upbeat personality and strong communication skills help build personal relationships and make a difference for guests and property owners. She is passionate in creating a positive experience that lasts a lifetime.

When she’s not working, you’ll find her planning her next big adventure across the U.S. (with international travel on the horizon), baking up a storm, or soaking up quality time with family - including her spoiled cats and dog. Whether she’s exploring, decorating, or dreaming up her next move, she brings energy, warmth, and a passion for hospitality to everything she does.

Jomel (aka “Joe”) is a seasoned Guest Experience Associate at CoolBnBs, bringing over 8 years of hands-on experience in the short-term rental space. With deep knowledge of Airbnb policies and a passion for hospitality, Joe is dedicated to providing seamless, memorable stays for every guest.


Beyond work, Joe is an avid traveler, anime fan, mountaineer, and nature enthusiast. His global adventures and appreciation for diverse cultures inspire a thoughtful, personalized approach to guest service ensuring each stay feels like home, no matter where you're from!
